UCLA Stabbing Victim Taken To The Hospital
UCLA police closed off a campus building after a scandal of UCLA stabbing this afternoon left one person injured and another under arrest.
The victim, whose name was not immediately released, was taken to UCLA-Reagan Medical Center. The person’s condition was not immediately clear.
The suspect was taken into custody by UCLA police, who have sealed off the area.
“We have asked students to stay away from Young Hall,” said police spokeswoman Nancy Greenstein.
The incident was reported to police at 12:21 p.m., and a motive is unclear. According UCLA, it occurred on the sixth floor of Young Hall, home of the school’s chemistry department.
