2016 Olympics Announcement
President Obama joined his wife, Michelle, in Copenhagen today in an effort to make a final push to bring the Olympics to U.S. soil again ahead of the 2016 Olympics announcement. Chicago is one of the finalists and the odds are not bad for the Windy City. Mrs. Obama and Oprah Winfrey arrived prior to the President Obama and have blazed a trail in Copenhagen showing their determination to bring the 2016 Olympics to Chicago.
Of course, there was loud criticism by many who thought that President Obama should not be in Denmark pushing to have the 2016 Olympics on US soil. There was some public outcry that Obama should in the United States dealing with more pressing issues. The First Lady seems to be doing a great job on the Olympic campaign trail and it’s a toss-up as to whether the president needed to fly to Copenhagen.
With just one day to go before the big vote, there are many judges on the International Olympic Committee who are still not sure where the Summer 2016 Games should be held. Rumor has it that this will be a very close race between Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, Madrid, or Chicago.
No matter who ends up hosting the 2016 Olympics, tomorrow’s announcement will be an exciting one. Chicago is gearing up for the big announcement by hosting “watching events” throughout the city. The Chicago Tribune will have a live-stream of the presentations and announcement on their web site.
Here is the schedule of events for Friday’s announcement. The breaking news will also be reported here on HULIQ.com.

Many articles in the press have shown that the odds are decent for Chicago to be chosen for the Olympics 2016. With only hours to go, the final outcome is much anticipated on Friday. Hopefully Chicago, being one of the finalists, will rejoice tomorrow after the 2016 Olympics announcement.
